I had a colonoscopy %26amp; cat scan 3 months ago - clear. Now have spots of blood on toilet paper and right side abdominal pain (dull ache - more uncomfotable not unbearable). Doctor referring me back to consultant.

It could be diverticulitis or diverticulosis...not very common on the right side but does happen. Basically just inflammation of the bowel. Simple antibiotics could stop the inflammation. Also the two might not be related...hemorrhoids cause bleeding and there are plenty of causes of right abdominal pain. Blood in the stool is not normal. I would suggest it could be gallbladder or appendicitis (although I think this one would warrant a more immediate response for treatment).
