Neither is correct because ambition was the major motivating factor....HELP MACBETH PAPER due tom!!...IS THIS A CLEAR or GOOD THESIS STATEMENT?
The first one is better because it's more pointed and restricted. The essay would need to clarify: fear of what? Instilled by whom or what or does it change? And can human actions be reduced to one motivation? Aren't most complicated acts, such as the murdering of Duncan and the chasing after Banquo, overdetermined--i. e., have more than one actuating factor? How clearly does fear override these other prompting factors?
No fear was not the motivating factor.

Ambition and manipulation led to the murder of the King. Lust for power is a destructive thing.

And yes why are you giving in a paper on a Sunday?
You have a paper due on Sunday? How odd...
