Frankenstein Paper - Clear Thesis?

I need a good clear thesis for a Frankenstein Paper on the topic ';Who is the Real Monster?'; I wrote the paper already but was told I was lacking a clear thesisand recieved a poor grade. Any ideas would help! Thanks =]Frankenstein Paper - Clear Thesis?
Here's an idea that's outside the box: The real monster is the reader. If you can defend that, then you're accomplishing something.





I think they want you to say that the real monster is the person who created the monster because he played God.Frankenstein Paper - Clear Thesis?
Think about the full title of the novel: Frankenstein, or the Modern Prometheus. Prometheus is the Greek God who steals fire and gives it to man. In return, the Gods punish him. I think its clear that, in Frankenstein, the Monster is fire and Dr. Frankenstein is Prometheus. Just as the Gods punish Prometheus for exposing man to a piece of knowledge to which he was not supposed to be privy, so too do the villagers punish Frankenstein for creating the monster. Thus, I would argue that, in Frankenstein, society is the real monster, since it punishes Dr. Frankenstein for creating life.
The concept is that Victor is the real monster because he created a life and deserted it.
