my brother mfc-240c had a paper jam. when i tried to get the paper, it tore!! i was using a really thin paper that easily rips, that's why it got stuck up. how do i remove the paper jammed inside the printer?
PS the paper broke in two... only a tiny bit is left outside. the rest are in the printer and i can't get it out.How to clear a paper jam with the paper torn?
If it's possible pull the jammed paper from front (where the paper came out after being printed) not form rear (where you put the paper for print). if it's impossible first turn off your printer and after around 15 second turn it back on. it's better before you turn the print on, first open the front cover and nip the jammed paper with your finger or use paper nipper and slowly pull it when the paper feed roll to make sure it's not coiled again in sheet feeder.
Never use a thin paper with the inkjet or laser jet printer cause the ink and/or toner can make that paper wrinkling.
hope it help
regards
Chandra
