Clear paper mache gel mixture and where I can buy it?

In my sculpture class, we had a clear paper mache mixture. It was a white powder that you mixed with water and was thick and almost like hair gel when you let it set. I'd really like to buy some, because he's been out for a while. I believe it was in a small, yellow cubical box. I think I might.....you could probably find it in your local craft store...michael's, a.c. moore's, i bet they would have it!
